Payment & Refund Policy

RAJLO Payment & Refund Policy

Welcome to RAJLO — Jamaica’s First Cashless Transportation Platform.

This Payment & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all payments, fares, fees, refunds, cancellations, disputes, and financial transactions processed through the RAJLO platform, mobile applications, payment systems, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).

By using the RAJLO Platform, riders and drivers agree to comply with this Policy.

1. Cashless Platform

1.1 Electronic Payments Only

RAJLO operates as a fully cashless transportation platform.

All trip fares, cancellation fees, service charges, and applicable platform fees are processed electronically through approved payment methods.

Cash payments outside the Platform are prohibited unless expressly authorized by RAJLO.

1.2 Authorized Payment Methods

Users must maintain a valid payment method linked to their account.

RAJLO may support:

  • Debit cards
  • Credit cards
  • Digital wallets
  • Bank-linked payment systems
  • Other approved electronic payment methods
  • RAJLO reserves the right to modify accepted payment methods at any time.

2. Fare Calculations

2.1 Fare Estimates

Displayed fares are estimates only and may change based on:

  • Distance traveled
  • Time elapsed
  • Traffic conditions
  • Route changes
  • Wait times
  • Pickup location changes
  • Mapping recalculations
  • Service demand
  • Technical adjustments
  • Applicable taxes or fees
  • Final fares are determined upon trip completion using RAJLO’s pricing systems.

2.2 RAJLO Route Pricing

RAJLO Route fares may utilize Jamaican route taxi structures, regional fare systems, or platform-adjusted pricing models.

2.3 RAJLO Private Ride Pricing

Private Ride pricing may vary based on:

  • Trip distance
  • Trip duration
  • Demand conditions
  • Pickup location
  • Driver availability
  • Operational factors
  • RAJLO reserves the right to modify pricing structures at any time.

3. Cancellation Fees

3.1 Rider Cancellation Fees

Cancellation fees may apply where:

  • A driver has accepted the request
  • The driver is traveling to the pickup location
  • The driver has arrived at the pickup location
  • The rider fails to appear
  • The rider causes unreasonable delays

Cancellation fees may vary depending on:

  • Distance traveled by the driver
  • Time elapsed
  • Service category
  • Demand conditions
  • Geographic area

3.2 Driver Cancellations

Drivers may cancel trips for legitimate operational or safety-related reasons.

RAJLO reserves the right to investigate cancellation activity and apply account restrictions where appropriate.

4. Automatic Charges

By using the Platform, users authorize RAJLO and its payment processors to:

  • Charge trip fares
  • Charge cancellation fees
  • Apply outstanding balances
  • Retry failed payments
  • Apply service fees
  • Process adjustments or corrections
  • Recover unpaid balances
  • Users agree that charges may occur automatically without additional authorization at the time of processing.

5. Failed Payments

5.1 Payment Authorization Failures

If a payment method fails, RAJLO may:

  • Retry payment processing
  • Restrict ride requests
  • Temporarily suspend accounts
  • Require updated payment information
  • Apply outstanding balances to future transactions

5.2 Outstanding Balances

Outstanding balances may prevent continued use of the Platform until resolved.

RAJLO reserves the right to pursue collection of unpaid amounts where permitted by law.

6. Refund Policy

6.1 Refund Eligibility

Refund requests may be reviewed for situations involving:

  • Duplicate charges
  • Technical billing errors
  • Incorrect fare calculations
  • Unauthorized transactions
  • Verified service issues
  • Refund eligibility is determined solely by RAJLO.

6.2 Non-Guaranteed Refunds

Refund requests do not guarantee refunds.

RAJLO reserves the right to deny refund requests where:

  • Fraud is suspected
  • Platform abuse is detected
  • Charges are valid under Platform policies
  • Evidence does not support the claim

6.3 Partial Refunds

Where applicable, RAJLO may issue:

  • Partial refunds
  • Promotional credits
  • Account adjustments
  • Platform credits
  • instead of full monetary refunds.

7. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

7.1 Fraud Prevention

Users agree not to initiate fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes.

RAJLO reserves the right to investigate:

  • Chargeback abuse
  • Payment fraud
  • Unauthorized account activity
  • Suspicious transactions
  • Account manipulation

7.2 Account Restrictions

Users engaging in fraudulent or abusive payment activity may face:

  • Account suspension
  • Permanent deactivation
  • Outstanding balance recovery
  • Legal action where permitted by law

8. Driver Payouts

8.1 Payout Processing

Driver earnings are processed electronically.

Payout schedules may vary depending on:

  • Banking systems
  • Payment processors
  • Fraud reviews
  • Technical interruptions
  • Compliance reviews

8.2 Payout Delays

RAJLO does not guarantee uninterrupted or immediate payout processing.

Temporary delays may occur due to:

  • Banking interruptions
  • Fraud investigations
  • Technical failures
  • Compliance reviews
  • Third-party payment provider delays

8.3 Adjustments & Deductions

RAJLO reserves the right to apply deductions or adjustments for:

  • Refunds
  • Chargebacks
  • Fraud investigations
  • Policy violations
  • Platform commissions
  • Processing fees

9. Currency & Exchange Rates

RAJLO primarily operates in Jamaican Dollars (JMD).

Where applicable:

  • Currency conversion rates may fluctuate
  • Exchange rates may vary by payment processor
  • Additional banking or international transaction fees may apply
  • RAJLO is not responsible for third-party banking or currency conversion charges.

10. Taxes & Regulatory Obligations

Users are responsible for complying with applicable tax obligations under Jamaican law.

Drivers are solely responsible for:

  • Income taxes
  • Statutory contributions
  • Business registration obligations
  • Licensing fees
  • Regulatory compliance
  • RAJLO does not provide tax advice.

11. Promotional Credits & Discounts

RAJLO may offer:

  • Promotions
  • Referral incentives
  • Discounts
  • Platform credits

Promotional offers:

  • Have no cash value unless required by law
  • May expire
  • May be modified or revoked
  • May be restricted for abuse prevention
  • RAJLO reserves the right to cancel promotions at any time.

12. Fraud Monitoring

RAJLO reserves the right to monitor transactions for:

  • Fraud prevention
  • Fake trip activity
  • GPS manipulation
  • Referral abuse
  • Payment fraud
  • Unauthorized access
  • Suspicious account behavior
  • RAJLO may suspend accounts during investigations.

13. Technical Payment Disclaimer

RAJLO does not guarantee uninterrupted operation of:

  • Payment systems
  • Banking integrations
  • Third-party payment processors
  • Mobile networks
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Notifications or receipts
  • Technical interruptions, delayed notifications, duplicate authorization holds, or temporary processing issues may occur.

14. No Warranty

All payment systems and related services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

RAJLO makes no guarantees regarding:

  • Payment processing speed
  • Banking availability
  • Processor uptime
  • Transaction approvals
  • Refund timing
  • Currency conversion rates

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Jamaican law:

RAJLO, its owners, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for:

  • Banking interruptions
  • Payment processor failures
  • Chargeback disputes
  • Currency conversion losses
  • Fraudulent transactions
  • Delayed refunds
  • Lost earnings
  • Technical payment failures
  • Unauthorized account use
  • Financial losses arising from Platform use
  • Users use the Platform and payment systems entirely at their own risk.

16. Indemnification

Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless RAJLO and its affiliates from claims, liabilities, losses, legal expenses, or damages arising from:

  • Fraudulent transactions
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Violations of this Policy
  • Violations of Jamaican law
  • Unauthorized payment activity
  • User misconduct

17. Policy Updates

RAJLO reserves the right to modify or update this Policy at any time without prior notice.

Continued use of the Platform following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

18. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Jamaica.

Any disputes relating to this Policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.

19. User Acknowledgment

By using the RAJLO Platform, users acknowledge and agree that they:

  • Have read and understood this Policy
  • Authorize electronic payment processing
  • Accept the risks associated with electronic transactions
  • Understand that pricing may vary
  • Release RAJLO from liability to the fullest extent permitted under Jamaican law

This document forms part of your agreement with RAJLO. By continuing to use the RAJLO platform you accept this policy as currently published. RAJLO records the version of each policy you accept, with a timestamp, for both parties' protection.
